Mysterious audio outage

Heya mates,

I've scoured the interwebs to no avail finding a link between the make of my 07 civy ex and it's puzzling problem, but to be sure i'm here asking you fine, knowledgeable lads.

About a month ago while playing some tunes the front right speaker went out suddenly, a day later it came back and was operating like normal. A couple of weeks ago the same thing happened to the front right and again it came back. Now a week ago it went and then was followed by the front left, both of them never to return. It might have nothing or everything to do with it but i had been listening to my ipod for some time via the aux in jack and have noticed it works like a preamp making the factory system decently louder than it's radio or cd player max.

Anyone have any ideas what the flip is going on here? Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks and cheers mates.

Re: Mysterious audio outage

I had a similar problem in my 03 ex. Water was getting into the doors when it would rain, and this was shorting out the speakers, causing them to quit working. I don't know if you've noticed any correlation between rain and your speakers quitting, but maybe thats it? Good luck figuring out the problem.

Re: Mysterious audio outage

Thanks for the tip Satinsilver, but unfortuneately it had not been raining around the times the sound went. Again, thanks for responding though. Cheers!
