Any suggestions?

Soo a few months ago, I just brought a honda 09 civic lx and now that i had it for a while, i want to add better performance into it. I'm kind of new with cars in general but anyone has any good ideas where i should start first? As in adding parts to my car for a better performance for starters and not soo expensive?

Idk but i heard about a rev limiter, anyone care to explain how it works? Base on what i know, i think basing on the type of limiter it is, it can increase your rpm?

Re: Any suggestions?

minor boltons like intake/header/exhaust? rev limiter is programmed in the car computer, so that you do not go past redline and ruin the motor. it limits the rpms, usually around 6800.

Re: Any suggestions?

alot of company sell aftermarket version of those parts to replace the factory pieces to get a few extra hp out of the motor. may want to search around and get ideas what people have on their cars and brands.
