take a look at what AEM has to offer.
for starters, cold air intake is probably the first thing you want to get.
I suggest either AEM or Injen.
AEM claims significant horsepower boost
but I prefer injen because their CAI keeps the filter behind the front bumper where it should be.

I was planning on getting an AEM cai but i read that its a very tight fit and eventually will rub and bend the inside of ur bumper. So ill def be getting a injen cai. So whats the deal with the 3rd gear on 8th gen civics?

you can get hondata ecu reflash, and some boltons like intake and exhaust, or just go with turbo or supercharger. check 8thcivic.com too.

yeah, Injen is probly the safest bet.
Make sure you dont drive through any puddles with it!
because the injen CAI is closer to the ground than AEM and will mess up your engine if you get water in the CAI
but for regular driving you cant go wrong with it.

I think its a great car but the older hatchback can take the corners more aggressively without a lot of over steer. I know this because I took both the old and the new out on my local track. The new one seams to be slower coming out if the corners. AFTER FURTHER RESEARCH I FOUND OUT WHY. The new one only has a few more horses than the old one but a lot more weight. IMO buy a older si hatch.

one of the bigger problems is the DBW throttle its all conputer control (no cable) and has serious LAG when you step on the gas.

the older hatch back si's weigh a ton and looks ugly imo.
