Hello,
I installed the K&N 69 Series Typhoon Intake Systems in my 2008 Honda Civic Coupe LX. The sound is great. However, I noticed my car lost HP at lower RPM and increase a little HP at higher RPM (3000+). I takes about 2 seconds to respond after I stepped on the gas pedal (accelerator)
Also, I am loosing gas mileage, 2-3 miles per gallon.
Does anyone experiencing the same problem?
I checked everything for air leak, but couldn't find any thing wrong.
I am thinking of putting the stock airbox back.
Thanks

your car has a MAF sensor somewhere on the intake right? maybe thats the problem, and the DBW (drive by wire, no actual cable) throttle control, which is causing the delay. the problem is its all computer controled. as for the gas mileage, drive with it for a full tank and then see what happens. maybe the throttle problem will get fixed too. ecu needs time to learn the mod. if it still doesnt work, put the stock box back on. those newer cars are very picky when you mess with stuff.

hmm, it shouldnt be that hard, mainly just bolts and stuff. you could ask to borrow the dealer service manual, i have one but it doesnt go past '04.
