Rep Power: 0 Hey, a few upgrading questions for my 07 civic si
Hey guys I got a new 2007 Civic Si on December 31 and already I'm looking to do some mods!
1) I have been told by many people (including my service provider @ honda) that the AEM Ram Air Intake would be a great first upgrade... But at the same time others have said (including one of the threads) they liked the cold air more and that I sounded better too.
2) Also header... I been told to do it right. So here I am looking @ headers... which ones should I get?
And if I do can I install them? I know on some cars you can.
3) Last but not least exhaust, which one would you recommend, one with a nice deep and mean sound.
Hey, if you can throw any other ideas out there that don't involve outside mechanic help, that would be great help.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks Guys!

I bought a used 07 Si for my son and I'm the one with the upgrade bug. Go figure. My ride is an 03.5 M3 cab. I think it's a guy thing.
Anyway, a very knowledgeable tech rep talked with me and agrees with you that the AEM Ram Air is much better than the Injen CAI. Also, he advised to install a free-flow exhaust. Other than that, he suggested hands off.
What I have a problem with is the stock gear shift ****. On the BMW, it's an inverted tear drop shape. But, in the Si, it's pickle shaped and I personally had a problem with my fingers slipping off the ****.
Let me know what you decide to go with. I'm curious.
