Radio Help!!

If anyone can direct me I will thank you. New, my 1st post. I just bought a 2007 Civic LX. The 160 watt radio is the pits. I asked my dealer to install the Amplifier from the 350 watt system and they said that they don't know how. Terrible there are no more Real Mechanics around. Does anyone know how to do this? or can it not be done? I really don't want to rip out my entire sound system to get more power.

Re: Radio Help!!

Most likely alot of work and money. I doubt the radio is the same as far as outputs go, but not sure. Honda does sell an amp and two little subs for the lx that replace the rear deck speaks. Not sure how much of an improvement there will be tho.

Re: Radio Help!!

That's going to extremes....

I would actually like to install the factory amp in my Civic but I do not see part numbers for this unit at all.

Does anyone have the part number for this amp?

Re: Radio Help!!

I have a 07 EX Sedan. I added a Alipine 4 Channel 50Watts RMS to the car. It is bolted on the right rear seat back. Since you can flip the seat back, it also allow me to adjust the ***** on the amp when I want to. This is much easier and probably more powerful than switching to the factory 350 Watt Honda amp.

Re: Radio Help!!

get Honda to print you out the instructions, i had them
do it to see what was all involved, its several pages long
and includes a small box that looks like an inline driver which installs
in the trunk in and under the courtesy light, speakers which are of somewhat better quality ,etc..

didnt look to complicated to do...
