2 week old '07 EX....major problem :-(

Hellom first post! I just traded my old Grand Am in for this sexy 4 door EX. I was excited to get involved in a Civic forum about the mods I was planning....

And it has a major issue.

I hit 50 mph one day on a straightaway and it begun to make this horrible squeeling/grinding noise over the passenger side wheel area. I pulled it over....the brake was not locked up or anything. The noise could not be recreated unless you go over 50mph. It does not do it when the car is idling or revving in park. Any idea what it could be. It has 900 miles on it.. just bad luck. My apt. is Tuesday and I plan on it towing it.

Any ideas what it could be?

Re: 2 week old '07 EX....major problem :-(

I have the simular situation.. I hear squeeling noise from engine part under the hood when I was driving it on 5th and 6th gear at around 65 -75 m/h. It sounds like the belt is touching something but I don't see any smoke or smell any burning smell though. It only happens on higher speed and 5th & 6th gear. Mine is a 06 Si and this problem cannot be repeated as will.. Anyone have the simular problem ?
Thanks.

Not sure what it could be, but i would definitely make Honda pay for the towing.
