Rep Power: 0 07 Civic LX Stereo Welcome Message
Hi Everyone,
Hoping you all might have some insight into this...
I just bought the new Civic, and the owners manual says that you can program in a welcome message into the stereo.
I've followed the instructions, and it doesn't give the ability to do this.
Has anyone found a work-around for this? Is there some feature that might have been disabled that I can re-enable?
Thanks!
Al

Welcome message
Hello,
I had the same issue when I bought my 2007 Honda Civic EX (Canadian Model) and I couldn't program the 'welcome' in the display bar.
I did some digging and found that the US LX and the Canadian EX share the 160 watt receiver and doesn't have the 'welcome' feature.
The US -EX and Si models have that feature.
The owner's manual is a bit confusing in explaining this.
Plastics.

The owners manual certainly isn't very clear on that point. Interesting that the receiver would look exactly the same yet have such a subtle difference....
Thanks again.

Rep Power: 0 I have a 07 ex US model. Could not change my message also. I found instructions easy to understand, but that damn thing just wont change. So after 20 mins of playing with it, I gave up. Its just not worth the time.

I assume if the welcome message works on an 07 coupe it will work on an LX sedan as well. Does anyone have any experience with this particular model?
Interesting enough I just read on another Honda Civic forum that the welcome message does work on the coupe but not on the sedan. Can this be possible?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
