Rep Power: 0 My New SI w/ HFP traded up from EX Coupe
Here is my new 2006 Civic SI with full Honda Factory Performance package (HFP). I traded in my Civic EX Coupe. Here is a quick photo. I'll post more later.
Honda Factory Performance Includes:
# High-performance springs that reduce ride height by about one-inch and lower the vehicle's roll center
# High-performance dampers tuned for enhanced road handling characteristics and decreased body roll
# Sport muffler that enhances appearance and sound
# 18x7 alloy wheels (Michelin high-performance 215/40ZR-18 tires)
# Full aerodynamic body kit (front, sides and rear)
# HFP Emblem

Rep Power: 0 After owning the 2006 civic coupe EX and now the SI, I have found that although the cars are based on the same platform and look alike, the handling and driving experience is completely different. My coupe had the 5 spd manual tranny, it was fun. This SI is a beast in comparison. In the coupe, I was able to go through each gear with the pedal to the floor on each gear change, which made the vehicle pretty "peppy". With the Si, you have to be careful. At 6000 RPM, when the Vtec really kicks in, you had better hold on to something. This is the car that I really wanted when I first bought the coupe, but I didn't want to spend the extra money and I really regretted it later. Also, when I bought the coupe, Si's were hard to find and even harder to test drive. So I didn't get to compare the two vehicles. Now I can honestly say that the Si, is worth the $2000 extra. The HFP package cost me a couple thousand more than that, but I really like what it has done asthetically and for handling. Oh, and the exhaust growl is awesome!
Hopefully, the weather will clear up by the weekend and I'll be able to post some better pics.

Rep Power: 0 I just traded my 05 EX SE for a 07 Si. What a difference! My husband just mentioned last night that he has not put the pedal all the way down yet and can't imagine what it would do. It has been really rainy here and when the weather gets better, I-5 will experience my new Si. Probably going to have to take it to the track this summer to see! My only regret is the gas mileage and premium fuel vs regular. I live in a state where they tax the hell out us for fuel. All worth it though, I love my Si.
