Rep Power: 0 wanting some new wheels for my civic LX
Whats up evryone, this is my first post. I'm wanting new wheels for my LX, which comes with 16" wheels. I'm thinking I want to put 18" on but I heard that it can kinda be a rough ride when you put bigger rims on, but i was also told that you can get a better suspension and it would do just fine, that the stock suspension is kinda crappy on most cars. Is this correct would a better suspension help, if so about how much would it be? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I don't know too much about cars. This is my first car and I want to make it look really bad ***.

There is nothing wrong with putting a nice set of 16's on your car.
There are benefits to staying with 16's as larger rims and tires are much more expensive as you go up in size.
Larger rims and tires, if really big require bigger rotors & brake calipers to deal with the bigger rims and tires.
If you ever see SUV with 20"+ rims and tires. Notice how small their brake rotors and calipers are. This is a dangerous thing and will over tax the braking system and cause failure of the pads and rotors much quicker.
