Transmission

I have a little paranoia about transmissions. My previous car had transmission problem, (BIG ONE!!!) and now I am scared of any abnormalities that are in transmission area. My Civic is brand new, less then 500 miles. Whenever I accelarate slowly, there is a hard shift from 1 to 2nd. I understand this is normal. Whenever I release gas pedal at about 12 mph, I feel a little shaking. Also I noted that sometimes when I switch from Drive to Reverse or from Park to Reverse, car jumps. My used cars behaived the same way and I thought new car should perform more smoothly. The trasmission for Civic is made in Indonesia. Is that worse then made in US or as bad?

Well Its Normal And Its Not Really The Trans While Driving Thats Making The Jump, The New Throttle Boddies Are Drive By Wire, Which Means Its An Electronic Signal Sent To The T-body From The Pedal, So There Is Some Hesitation And Then Boom It Goes, I Have Worked For Honda For 5 Years And Have Only Seen 2 Civic Trannys Get Replaced, And That Is Because They Were Dumb Kids Qho Couldnt Shift For ****!

Settle Down And Please Dont Patronize This Forum, Be Understanding That Its The Middle Of Work Day And Most Of Us Are Employed, Being That We Have New Cars!

Well, I'm kinda talking about ATX not manual. The car jumps while standing still when I change from Park to Reverse. Any one with ATX's have similar feeling?
