Rep Power: 0 06 ex performance?
I know that my 06 ex mt coupe goes 0-60 in about 8.5 secs and through the quarter mile in about mid-high 16's. For anyone here who knows alot about performance, what do you think it'll take for my car to get into 15's? I was thinking that maybe bolt on's and some nice sticky tires should help enough but i'm not quite sure. I know it's hard to judge but has anyone taken their civics to the track yet?

bolt ons should do it; start with headers, intake, cat back. he logic i follow and what every has told me was that the first thing you do it free up how ur car breathes and exhales bringing more power to the car, i've also heard some people super charging or doing something alittle less that turboing their car to get a little more pickup on the highway, nothing special.....of course there's always swapping out for that k20

Yes, first way to go is to get more air flowing into the car and more exhaust getting out.
Should get your some extra low end grunt, etc.
Intake and catback would be a good place to start. I wish I had money to do these things

performance go fast
Hello,
Car and Driver just did a piece on the 2007 Civic LX 4 Dr Sedan with 5 speed Standard transmission and 0 to 60 mph was 7.7 seconds and 1/4 mile was 16.1 second.
I bought a 07 Civic EX with 5 speed Auto.
I read somewhere a few months ago when I was travelling in Japan that there was some chip you can get (in Japan?) that bumps the horsepower from 140 to 165-170 hp, but you need to switch to premium gas.
For the North American market, they "lean" out the engine to pass the tough emission standard even if the motor is build and design for much higher horsepower. So the chips just brings and relase the extra horsepower that's already been design in. I think the chip is from Yoshimura or something like that. any one heard of this?

16.1 second 1/4 mile?
I am sure that when Car and Driver got 16.1 second 1/4 mile time with a 07 Ciivc Sedan 5 speed, it was done on the track. I am sure they zing engine up to like 5000 rpm and that pop the clutch and launch.
I don't think most folks will be doing that on the street.
-my 07 Civic EX 5 sp AT, now has 6,000km on it...feels stronger than when it was new.
gas mileage around 26 mpg all round driving and 40 on the freeway steady 75mph.

I have an '07 EX manual; getting 30 mpg all-round driving, but most of it has been freeway at 75, so I expected a little better.
