Rep Power: 0 Base RSX cheaper than Civic.
My friend from the acura dealership told me that know RSX's are actually cheaper then civics because they have much better financing deals. What do you guys think about this? They have 2.9. 3.9 and 4.9 apr.

Sounds like they are unloading them for a next gen RSX or they simply arent selling because the new civic is hot. The difference between the 7th and 8th gen civic is huge. I cant wait to see the RSX after they use the new chassis!

Rep Power: 0 No. It's being discontinued till further notice. It didn't fit the image that acura wanted, since it was competing with cars from other non-luxury brands like scion, chevy, saturn, etc. etc. They'd rather have an entry level coupe that brings down sales of infiniti g35s, bmw 3- series etc etc. Expect a redesign of both the TL and TSX in 2008 (probably featuring SH-AWD) and there are rumors of an "RSX"-like car returning, but expect it to be closer to 30k then 20k. And yeah the new civic has so many advantages over the rsx, i'll begin to list.
1. It's on the new civic chassis while RSX is on the old civic chassis.
2. Drive by wire on civic, not on RSX.
3. Curb weight is still lower.
4. Despite less horspower, the manual base civic is faster then the manual base RSX to 60 and through the quarter mile. (Same goes for type-s vs. si)
5. Better fuel economy.
6. Many many more (more comprehensive maintenance minder system, 5 passenger seating, center storable armrest... etc etc. )
The only thing i don't understand is that in the midst of this whole redesign of the civic, trying to give it a more upscale image (and possibly trying to replace the RSX), they failed to have a leather option. It just seems weird how a car with available navigation would not even have a leather option, seems like those two go hand in hand.

I like leather, but for some reason I really like the cloth in my Civic. The seats are so comfortable and you dont slide around like you do on lower end leather (we arent exactly in the exotic price range). Plus in the Florida heat, your backside doesnt sweat! But I do agree that they should make it an option.

Also, hush hush, but I hear a TL type-s is gonna come out soon....shhh 300+ HP......
