2006 Civic Hybrid Navi: Sound System Upgrades?

I just got my 2006 Civic Hybrid Navi. The sticker says: 160-Watt AM/FM/CD Audio System with 6 Speakers. I'm unsure who makes the head unit. It works great, but it's underpowered. I'd like to enhance the sound with an amp that works with the original head unit. Any ideas?

Thanks,
C

with a high quality car that expensive that you plan on keeping, dont cheap out if youw ant to upgrade... i suggest a 4 channel jl amp...... jl amps will put out the same power anywhere from 1.5 ohm load to 4 ohm load so it doesn't fluxuate like a normal amp..... they are also getting rather affordable... either that or a nice alpine amp.. and get them professionally installed for suere.... because you dont want to risk the electrical system in that car..... om me for more info, i use to install stereos for a living...

Thanks for the advice. I want to make sure that I preserve all the functionality of the head unit. I'll check in to the jl amp.

The navi system itself seems to be Alpine. At least, that's where they point you to get DVD map updates.

Does anyone know where I can technical info on the stock navi head unit? I'd like to see what connections are available on the unit without having to pull it out. Thanks!
