Tautfest

So I had 4 speakers and 2 tweeters put in my 2008 civic ex coupe and when I got my car my outside temp on my dash doesn't work anymore....it has a line through it....it worked fine before also when my light comes on when the car is unlocked or the door is open there is a ringing noise that is very noticeable and it goes away when the light goes off. I took it to the shop that night and they said they couldn't do anything about it. My dad which is a gm mechanic told me to take it to honda and have them fix it and make sure they make a statement that proves the body shop do it. I lost 8 hours of work because they told me 2 hours and I told them I had to go to work. It took 4 and a half hours. When this is all done I want them to pay the honda bill, give me a refund on the install and pay me for my 8 hours. If not I will contact the newspaper better business burro and take them to small claims court. Does anybody know how this could of happened with a simple install. I also told them not to put in speaker wire. I had already put new speakers in and was fine with factory wiring. I have 2 amps in the back and a sub.

Honestly sounds like it could be something as simple as a fuse.
But in order to blow a fuse from running new speakers somebody f@!#ed up pretty bad.

Should have all the power disconnected before working on it.

Check your fuses, see if any are blown, hope that if any are, they did their job and protected the circuitry...I imagine a temperature sensor, if it's simple, shouldn't be too damaged by an over current.
