2006 Clear flood mode?

Does anyone know if the "clear flood" mode exists on the 2006 model? Where you hold the gas down and it shuts off the injectors. This is common on most other cars but I'm not sure if it exists in this one or how to do it.

Thanks

Pull the floormat out from under the gas pedal.

Mash the gas pedal to the floor and hold it there.
Crank the engine.

Does it start-- or just keep cranking continuously?

I haven't pulled the floormat out of it, but when mashing it to the floor, it just starts up right away and revs up. I was under the impression that it shouldn't start when doing this. Or at least this is the case with every other car that I know. Does it not exist on these models?

Re: 2006 Clear flood mode?

The owners manual sure makes it sound like it has it (sedan, p163):

6. If the engine fails to start, press
the accelerator pedal all the way
down, and hold it there while
starting to clear flooding. If the
engine still does not start, return
to step 5.

I've not really ever looked to see if it actually shuts off the injectors does though.
