I found what seems like a really good deal on a 2007 civic SI, it's $7500. It does have a salvage title and the exterior isn't in the best condition but it's not terrible, the bumper is kind of messed up and and there is a noticeable mark above one of the tires. One of the airbag lights is on, and the person who owns it right now is the 5th owner which seems like a lot of owners for a 2007 and 90,000 miles. 7500 just seems like a steal though because even in decent condition it's close to a $10,000 car

I heard somewhere that you should never buy a salvage car for more than 50% of the non-salvage price.
So for that car somewhere around 5k.
But it's your risk, and that's just what I've heard.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Would I buy it?......no
The OP doesn't really say much about their situation though. If I had $7500 to spend on a car it wouldn't be a salvage title....but who knows maybe the OP has 6 cars already and this is going to be a weekend toy or track car... who knows? Maybe $7500 is nothing to the OP they don't really say.
If I was seriously looking at buying the car myself I would certainly want to know why it's a salvage title and why the SRS light is on and then I would take it to a trusted mechanic and get their opinion on it before I forked over any money.
