Rep Power: 0 2014 Honda Civic LX Test Drive Today
After taking a 2014 Toyota Corolla LE out for a spin head over to my local honda dealer and took the 2014 Honda Civic LX CVT for a nice ride. This is a basic review as being 53 years young the tech parts of the car are not as important to me as the gas mileage and over ride/comfort.
Pros:
Comfortable seats and driving position
Nice ride and not very noisy at all, my current 06 Civic has Goodyear Assurance TripleTred Tires which are noisy but have excellent grip, much better than the new car tires.
Engine is very smooth and quiet.
AC & radio works great no issues here at all.
Good bluetooth; radio & cruise positions on steering wheel and easy to use.
Dash is just fine, mind you the 06 I have has the odometer in the same general position so I am use to this setup.
Good dash finish.
Cons:
Windshield feels close, the angle is a little sharp than my current car.
Floor mats fit but just plastic not something you should pay for.
For the life of me I couldn't figure out how to turn off the radio, use to having a button maybe turning the volume off was it done
Armrest could be a bit larger.
Thats about it, nice car overall compared to my 06. Seats in my 06 are still better. Total cost with trade in; factory to dealer rebate all taxes; etc grand total offered to me was : $19,574.40 (my civic has been in 2 accidents so I was surprised at what they offered me for the trade in $3,000.00). Now working on the wife to complete the transaction, she was out of town for about 10 days so easing into it this weekend.

Re: 2014 Honda Civic LX Test Drive Today
what a coincidence, I have a 2006 civic and recently purchased a 2014 as well!
(But I kept my '06, became the wifes car)
the armrest should slide forward to give you a little more space.
& the tires that came on my '14 EX, continentals, are definitely nothing in grip compared to the kumho sport tires I have on my 2006, but they do make for a quieter & smoother ride.
from my experience it looks like the 2014 has a significantly lower roof than the 2006, but I do have a sunroof so that may contribute, but the 2014 is definitely still a lower roof than the 2006.
Good luck!
