what wax do You use?

I washed and dryed the civic today cleaned the paint using mothers
paint cleaner then went over it with Meguires polish. and for the final
end coating used Meguires ultimate wax and finally after lots of buffing. it

turned out realy good. came out in a showroom look very pleased with
meguires polish and ultimate wax products highly recommend them.
what about the rest of you guys what do you use.?

Jump wax.
Set the can in front of the car, and have a middle manager scream at it until the wax jumps onto the car.

/one hand: wax on.....

Turtle wax instant foam n shine spray can works great for removing scratches. For the full wax job Meguiars Gold Class Carnauba plus works well for my annual waxing. eddie044 that car must really shine with a weekly waxing !

Is Turtle Wax Super Hard Shell considered old school? I am whatever you would call that.

as far as I know.
some of the better polishes/waxes will update or change there actuall formula every 5-7 years. to be up-to-date on the newest automotive paints on the market. and you have others that might change there formula every 10 years.

others are the same formula from 20-30 years ago..! Yeah. so..youl have to research who makes turtle wax and contact them by via email or phone for your answer.

Re: what wax do You use?

updating this thread im thinking of cleaning and waxing the Civic soon...
so I been looking around for a product that I used called Tech wax 2.0
made by meguires problem has been its been removed from auto parts
stores..?

and no one carries it anymore I asked one guy that was working in
this particular auto store why this wax is no longer easily found..? he said
in his own words.. (that particular wax has petroleum based chemicals that could
eat away at clear coat paint)... ! so that was the stores reason for not stocking it and
every other chain I went to too.. in store. sounds

to me like a legitimate answer that I finally found.! he said we only stock
natural waxes and polishes so I ended up buying some mothers carnuba wax wich I
think was a good choice pricey but got it on sale. this guy will ONLY be using naturally
based polishes and waxes from now on.

Re: what wax do You use?

I used a clay bar before and Never again..! too much of a mess with inbetween
water spraying and gripping a tiny clay bar on paint.
and I really didn't notice any better difference than using a liquid cleaner
that I rubbed on and wiped off.. honestly

Re: what wax do You use?

Don't get mad but it sounds like you did it wrong. Cause if your doing it right it really shouldn't make a mess. Ya your hands will get wet from the spray they give you but other then that its not messy. And it makes a big difference..maybe not in the way it looks...but the wax will stick to the clear coat better cause your removing all the impurities from the clear coat.

Re: what wax do You use?

when using a clay bar make sure the paint is wet and soapy and do small areas at a time or you can completely wash and dry it and use a spray wax along with the clay bar , Car Brite is the best wax hands down if you can get a hold of it
