Does any know how the rear-view mirror detaches from the windshield?
Need to replace broken mirror. Thanks!

Look where the support arm coming off the top of the mirror is attached to the roof. There should be a little cover there that you pry off that exposes a couple bolts/screws that are holding the mirror up.

8th gen mirrors mount to the glass.

No clue to the procedure, no service manual located yet.

Attached are instructions to remove the rear view mirror from a 2006 model. As this is also an 8th Gen Civic, I assume the information applies to the 09 as well.
