Cheapest that I can find. I actually got my last tankful at $1.99 per gl. I was passing the station at 6:30 in the morning and the attendant was changing the board, when i saw the "1", I made a u-turn and filled up. I bragged and showed everyone at work my receipt as proof, but by the time we all got off the price was back up to $2.16 gl, which is still pretty good, concidering...

The manual says 87 or higher... unless you have an Si... says 92 or better for them.

92-93 will not give you more performance unless you are running high compression than what is stock.

87 octane only. With this car you wont get better milage or performance with 93. Only pay @ 20 cents more per gallon.
I usually buy Chevron/Texaco because thats the credit card I have. I always fear off brand station gas quality. Truth is, they say most gas is the same when it gets to the station. Then the name brand stations pour in whatever additive their corporate headquarters use (ie Chevron with Techron).

They Say To Use Premium In Vehicle With Hi Compression Such As The Si, Usually With Compression Ratios Over 9.5 Or 10 To 1, So Keep In Mind The Base Model Civics Also Have Over A 10.1 To 1 Compression Ratio, Therefore I Use Premium In My 06 Lx

Blue (89?) from amoco. have bought gas there for 10 years, never had problems with it.

edit: sorry, I forget these forums are not generation specific. I have an 05 and this thread is for 8th gens.

i don't really it think it matters for gen specific.

i use 93 % on all cars and 87 for the Hybird, well 93 is only type offered here in JP so its all good.

I would advise against using Premium. If the car is designed to run on 87 octane and you put 93 octane in you will have unspent fuel build up in your engine.

You may be able to get away with 89 octane since this is a higher compression motor and with some spirited driving you should be able to, 'blow the carbon out', but I wouldn't go as high as 93.

I filled the tank (11.5 g) with 92 octane by accident, and got 1.5 mpg less than with 87. I'm sticking with 87.
