Ignition Switch Problem

Hello, I have a 96 Del Sol 5 speed and every time I start her up, she dies right away unless I keep the key half way from from stage II to III in the ignition switch. Do I have to change the ignition tumble or is it something more complicate. Can someone help me with that? Thanks.
