i got an 07 civic ex with approximately 33k miles on it. started hearing some metal sounds. not necessarily squealing sounds but more like metal being dragged on pavement. took it to the dealer thinking probably just a heat shield loose. got a call back saying both rear brakes and rotors are shot and the front two are just about done as well. replacement of both rear and resurfacing and service of front two will run me around 420 and replacement of all four will be over 500. this sounds pretty steep to me. anyone else have problems with the same model so early? did the factory just use thin ones on these models? and are the newer models put together the same way? Thanks
