2006 Factory Speakers Dilemma

Can anyone tell me why the front driver factory direct stereo speakers and the front passenger factory direct stereo speakers above the airbags and in the door panel will not work anymore? The back speakers work fine though. Here's what happened before they went out. I bought the car brand new in 2006. I always play my music around the 19 or 22 volume mark. Yesterday, I was listening to a cd and everything was fine. Went to work for about 8 hours. Started up the car and only the back speakers worked. I tried all the knobs for audio adjustment and nothing worked. I have absolutely ZERO knowledge of stereo equipment and would hate to take this problem to the dealership. If anyone can offer up some advice on how to fix this, i would hella appreciate it! To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

Re: 2006 Factory Speakers Dilemma

well you will probably need to open the door panels and check the wiring, but i think if multiple speakers went out at the same time, it may be a problem with the stereo. maybe the amplifier inside is dying. sounds like you will need a new stereo.
