obx or kamikaze

is it possible to still pass emissions test in cali with an obx 4-2-1 header if a cat is added in the line and can the same be done with the kamikaze and is it worth it for an 03 lx or any other sugesstions? reason being stock manifold has huge crack and make terrible poping sound in the low rpms>

If Ur header is CARB exempt (approved as a direct replacement for OEM by Cal air resources board), & u got a Cal approved cat w/ o2 sensors where they should be & no CELs it oughtta be ok. If U got a sticker or paper saying it's exempt or approved keep it w/ the car.

i think it would fail visual inspection if you have a non carb approved header. obx is generic crap, and kamikaze does not have carb approval (prolly since its an open header with no cat). so pretty much you need to repair or replace the stock manifold.

Sounds like stock manis are crap, too cuz so many people had them crack. From what I've seen CARB exempt means Cal will accept it as stock replacement. Prolly has a bung in it for an o2 sensor & such. Don't know nothing bout OBX or Kamikazi, though
