Gearbox Problems

Ok people I have been hearing noises in my gearbox for some time so with some help
we took it down,
gearbox don't come out as easy as we may think. The front lower sub frame has to come out while the engine is being supported by a jack. Has anyone done this before?
Lucky for me, only four bearings in my gearbox were damaged. (2 on the diff & 1 on the high gear shaft & the last one was pressed into the case)

Manual or auto? Only bad bearings & nothing else? 10 years ago my 81 needed a tranny cuz the oil got low & i never noticed it. I wanted to rebuild it but the top 3 gears were damaged and just the price of those gears was more than a whole used tranny.
