Clutch Issue

Hey gang, I'm driving a 2008 5 speed civic.

I've started to notice when i shift into second gear, every now and then there is something blocking me from fully engaging second. Usually i just let it out into neutral, then pull it back into second and it goes in. Sometimes it'll do this 3 / 4 / 5 times in a row, then sometimes it wont do it at all for a couple days. I don't notice it in any other gears, just second.

Any idea what this might be? if it's something 'common' is it a warranty thing? I must admit this is my first car that's a manual transmission. I dont ever grind the gears or ride the clutch...

Thanks

Re: Clutch Issue

If it does this put it back into neutral, and release the clutch. Then repress the clutch, and go into gear.

I sometimes but rarely have this problem on my Evo six speed, usually synchro related.

Re: Clutch Issue

sounds good i'll give that a shot. although, normally just pulling it into neutral and back in works fine.
