Is My Civic Totaled?

I have a Honda Civic 09, my dad just bought it for me at the end of July, it's hardly three months old. I recently got in a bad car accident just a couple of nights ago. I was rear-ended pretty badly and the back of my car is barely recognizable. The door behind the passenger side won't open but other than that the car looks okay. Is that enough for it to be considered totaled? And the insurance inspector guy looked at it today but said he would give us an answer by monday...is that bad? If it was repairable, wouldn't he have said so, then? If anyone can answer those questions...I'd really appreciate it.

i got into a similar rear end accident and they decided to repair it for $8k. turned out great and it still drives like normal. at the time it was a 2002 worth around $9k (happened in 2005). i doubt they would total it if just the rear is messed. usually a car is not totaled unless the damages cost more to fix than the car is worth. i doubt that would even be an issue with you. only times ive seen a car totaled is front end collision with airbags deployed.
