im pretty sure you will have two holes in the trunk if you remove the emblem. same with the front. they are held in with rivets and pegs. so you will end up breaking the emblem to the point where it will not go back on without glue. and then have holes.

yeah i was just wanting to take them off to paint them black though so i would be putting them back on so the holes wont be a problem.

Re: Removing the Honda Logo on an si?

well like i said, they will not go back on without glue or stick tape. if you can, try and paint them on the car. just mask off surrounding areas and you should be able to stick some paper under the emblem so you dont get any paint on the car.

Re: Removing the Honda Logo on an si?

If the emblems are on there like they are on the 6th gens then you should be able to remove them from the back. They are held in place by those two plastic pieces Gearbox was talking about and some thin double sided tape. Using a blow dryer heat the front to loosen the tape. Use some fishing wire to seperate the tape from the emblem. Then with a flat head screwdriver, carefully push the small plastic pieces out from the back of the emblem, (DO NOT TRY TO PRY IT OFF FROM THE FRONT!!!).To re-install, get some fresh new tape and re-apply after your done painting them. The other emblems are on there simply with tape so for those use the blow dryer and some fishing wire to remove them. Make sure to clean off all the excess tape from the car with goo gone or bug & tar remover before re-applying the emblems back. Happy modding!
