air filter screws?

Hey all, I'd like to replace the screws on my 04 civic air filter case, (6 on the outer edge and one large one in the center), as they are rusted. However I went to the dealership today, and they wanted $3.50 each, plus they have to special order the center one!
Any way I can just take one of them into Home Depot and get matching screws there? Or something close?
I refuse to pay $25 for those from the Stealership.

Re: air filter screws?

you can try home depot, they are kinda special cause they have that gap inbetween so the screws can loosen but not fall out when you open the housing. i think regular bolts would work fine too just make sure they are the same length and thread size and get stainless steel.

If you are that worried about some rusty screws, spend the $25 at the dealer or remove and re-finish what you have. It is next to impossible to find anything that works as good as what came with it.
