So, before my last oil change the light would only come on during the system check when I would crank the car. But now it stays on even after the system check for 1-2 minutes then it flickers a few times and goes off. If I stop at a red light, the light will flash on then off, sometimes more than once, but not everytime I stop at a light.
I'm not leaking any oil and not using any extra. The temp seems fine and there is no rattle or signs of oil not making it through the engine. No loss of power when the light comes on either.
This is my daily ride to work so I'm wondering, as long as the light isn't constantly on, should it be ok to drive it until I can get it looked at? Or is it possibly just a wacky light?
Any advice is appreciated!
