Alright guys. Finally got the mod's for the '02 Si that I'm thinkin bout buyin from my friend. Here are the details:

My friend wants to sell the car to me for 12k. A lot of my other friends say that the car is only worth around 10k and that he is trying to get out what he put into the car. The car has 88,000 miles on it. Kelley Blue Book says a stock version is worth about $7500, but he said that in the "tuner world" the stock version is about $10,000. Is this true??? I need to get some feedback from you guys to see if this Si is really worth the 12 grand or if I should offer less.

U can try to get it for cheaper bro. Just offer him the number that u are willing to pay for.. Too bad he spent his money on the mods. Its his loss and ur gain.. I think that 12k is lil bit high for a 88k car.. Also kelly blue book value is mostly times the truth...
i think 10k is a fair price considering the mods it has. altho to someone who doesnt care, they would not pay any extra over blue book and alot of times look at a different car without mods. but if you like it, and are willing to pay extra for the modding already done (and you trust your friend installed them properly), then go for it. but anything over 10k is not worth it under any circumstance.

PM me if you know companies that are hiring.
According to Edmunds TMV pricing the car with its current miles is only worth $7400 at best. If he wanted to trade it in he would get maybe $6200 if he's a good negotiator. He is definitely trying to make up money with his mods. The majority of his funds was spent on the engine and suspension. I think $10k is a good price too. The most I would go on it would be $11k but only if I really trusted the guy's work and mods. Otherwise your better off getting one stock used from someone else and building it yourself the way you would want to.
i bought a 02 civic for 5500 cad off of a friend. its a base model no modifications. it had 69000 miles on it. i thought i should mention. car was in mint shape, no rust everything inside clean non-smoking etc...

Yea, But come on he is trying to make 6k off the mods, and i dont even see a intake on that si Hmm?
I think 9k is fair...

When I first asked him if he was going to sell it, he said he wasn't. He said the only way he would consider selling it was if one of his friends (me) that he could trust to take good care of it was interested. After I told him I was interested, and after a couple of weeks of thinking about the price he wanted for it, I tried to talk him down----I mentioned 10k, he pretty much said no way. Then I asked 11k-11,500. He said that he would consider 11,500. He told me that if he was REALLY looking to sell the car, like if he really needed the money, then he would consider 10-11k. But since he doesn't NEED to sell the car, and he is finding it difficult to "lose his baby," then I guess I have to pay a little more to pry it out of his loving hands lol.
I also went on autotrader to compare prices. I found that the price for my friends car is right on par with pretty much all the si's being sold on there. I couldn't find an Si at the Kelley Blue Book price-7500. Most of the STOCK Si's were selling for at least 9k+ (These are cars being sold WITHOUT MOD'S)
Thanks

There isn't a cold air intake, that's why you don't see one lol. It's the stock air box with a mugen pipe and a k&n filter. My friend did this so he could basically have a Mugen RAM without the $900 price tag, especially since he got the mugen pipe for free.
