Lol. I don't think that is going to happen anytime soon. He has another car that he uses as his daily driver/winter car. Plus, in my case, when you don't have a car and you are living in dorms on an Air Force Base, then you kinda need a car, especially since the city is about a 10-15 min drive away. And getting stuck in the dorms everyday sucks, I've been doing it for the last 6 months lol. Besides that when he first got the car in '05 when it had around 10k miles on it, I fell in love with it, and I literally almost fell to my knees when he said he would let me buy the car.
If I get the car, I will be putting around 5k down on it. I live in the dorms and I eat for free, so I would have no other expenses other than the car. I did some math and after the down payment, with my current salary I would be able to pay the car off in way under a year with PLENTY of money left over for the year (this is including insurance, etc.)
Also like I said earlier, in response to tbohar, I went on autrader and looked at Si's being sold ACROSS THE COUNTRY. The price of my friends si seems like it is falling right in line with pretty much all the other si's being sold. Most of them, stock, are being sold for about 9k-10k. So according to autotrader, my friend is only making about 3k off of his mod's, which sounds bout right. It was my friends idea that I research this anyway.
sorry if it sounds like im being difficult. I'm just trying to deliver all the facts while soaking in the advice.
