Factory Extended 8 years 100K miles warranty

I just purchase a new 2009 Civic Si and plan to keep it for as long as I can and was wondering if the 'factory extended warranty' of 8 years 100k miles for $1600 is worth buying? I am not new to Si family for I have own a 1990 Si in the pass and know that these Si's are no joke when it comes to reliability. Anybody on here has good experience buying this 'extended' warranty?
