Re: 97 ex car hesitation

i'm having a very similar problem with my 95 EX. I changed the plugs, dist. cap, rotor, coil, and fuel pump but the problem is really that as the car warms up it begins to do what you're talking about.
Some friends of mine tell me that as the car warms up it switches to computer control of the engine and that's when it is miscontrolling the mixture (or something in there). Changing all the ignition stuff made it run perfect when it's cold and made the warm engine stuff more obvious.
I'm told Autozone will hook up a diagnostic reader to your car for free but I haven't gotten around to trying it yet. I'm thinking it could be an o2 sensor, a temp sensor that tells the computer engine temp info, or something else like that. It could also be the computer itself. I was also told to time from a cold start when it starts running rough and that if it is almost exactly at the same point each time then it's related to the computer kicking in to control things.
Check out the threads I posted in the gen 1-5 section or in the main DIY questions thread for Moderator Gearbox who might have an answer.
Good luck,
Bart
