Ok i am swapping my d16y7 with a d16y8 and i finished it a little while ago but the fuel pump is not coming on. I don't know if it is missing something to tell the fuel pump to come on or what. I also have an extra plug coming from my wiring harness that has nothing to plug to and I'm thinking that's what tells the fuel pump to come on. Also i don't have enough plugs on the ECU to plug everything up. The car is a 2000 civic Dx coupe and the motor came out of a 1996 civic Ex coupe. Someone please help me!!!!!

You legally arent supposed to put an older motor in a newer car... You need to check to see if its legal before you go trying to get it to work right... also, are you using the 96's wireharness, or the orig 00?
It is legal in Louisiana. I have the 96 wire harness and PCM but i think i might need the fuse box from the 96. it has an extra plug coming off of the wire harness in the engine well that has nothing to plug into.
Hmmm... GO to a used car dealership and pop the hood on a 96 and see where it connects to. If its the fuse box, then pick up the correct box, if its something else, report back on what it is.
