Hi everyone i'm brand new to this forum and just wanted to get some advice
about civic upgrades. I want to get maybe a cold air intake or something that will give me a little more HP without spending much money. Also is there anything else in the under 500 range that would be beneficial and give me a little more? thanks!

Nothing is going to give you that much horsepower for less than 500 bucks. Buy the intake for the sound or drop in a new performance filter in stock air box.

While this is true ^^, you can do things that are worthwhile mods. In my opinion, you should start with your suspension, this not only allows our cars supreme handling, but can also slightly increase fuel economy with a lower stance decreasing wind resistance. Also an intake and exhaust can improve fuel economy as long as you don't gun the gas all the time. These mods smooth out your airflow although none will drastically increase power. Use the search button and you can find all sorts of fun things to do with your car. Just don't expect big power without a motor swap or a turbo. Oh, and some people do NA builds, but you are also talking a good bit of money for that as well.
