How to check air bag?

Is there an easy way to check if your air bag is stolen?

I just got my civic back from the body shop after 3 week and I noticed the driver side air bag panel on the dash now has a slight dip on the gap where it fits into the dash. I'm certain the dip wasn't there before and there is no work done on the interior of the car.

I still get the air bag self check light coming on and then going off after a couple of seconds when the car is initially started. But is there an esay way to open the panel and check if the air bag is intact?

+1 to that. Also, there is an easy way to check. Hit something hard going fast. Works everytime all the time, lol.

Man, I would try that if my wallet hasn't taken a pretty hard hit already.
