need help with car performance so please help

ok so heres the story i have a 2007 civic and my friend is about to buy 2005 nissan altima. the nissan has far more power then my civc. i need to beat him somebody please help me and tell me wat i can put in the car to be able to beat him. i need some help so if any1 can tell me that would be great. performance anything im willing to put money in it so any feed back would b great. thanks
