Smile Y7 to Y8 IM swap

I've been on a couple of other forums and alot of people with D series Y7engines are swapping the intake manifold from the Y8 and putting it on the Y7. I was just wondering if anybody here has done that, how difficult it was and if you are happy with the results. And please don't suggest doing an engine swap, that' not gonna happen. I'm not looking to make gobs of horsepower, i'm just looking to add a little more pep to what i already have.Any POSITIVE info would be appreciated. 96civiccoupe is on a distinguished road
I have done this manifold swap on my car. You will get a decent performance gain! The only thing that makes it difficult is the diffrence in the IACV on the Y8 engine. The Y8 has the IACV on the back of the manilfold Vs the y7 with it on the bottem of the throttle body. The easiest way to do this is to find a manifold from a automatic y8 because the automatic y8 you can use the same throttle body and IACV and you wont have any problems!! Other than that you just need to extend some wires out of the harness to reach the map and IACV. Any other question let me know. I do have an extra y8 from an automatic. If you have a y8 maniofld all ready i can explain in detail all the wireing and what you need to make the swap with the manual manifold.
