List of torque specs & socket size

We should make a list of torque specs here so we can all use it as a reference. For example the lugs for wheels: 80 ft-lbs, strut bars 33 ft-lbs ...and so on.

We should also make a list of all the socket sizes like 10mm for bumper removal, 14mm for end links, 12mm to remove rear sway bar bushing bracket.....etc.

I guess we can either keep it here or put it in the DIY section.

I have a couple of torque specs from the Body Repair Manual:

6x1.0 mm: 7.2 lbf-ft (lower torque bolts)
6x1.0 mm: 13 lbf-ft (higher torque bolts)
8x1.25 mm: 16 lbf-ft (lower torque bolts)
8x1.25 mm: 22 lbf-ft (higher torque bolts)

It shows a diagram telling you which are which, but it's a diagram of the major body panels. We probably won't be taking those bolts out. It's of general help to give you a guage of what torque to use though...

Header nuts/bolts: 12mm socket. 23ft/lbs
Wheel lug nuts: 19mm socket. 80ft/lbs
Upper strut mounts (3 nuts/side): 14mm socket. 33ft/lbs
OEM strut shaft nut: 17mm socket. 33ft/lbs
*Tip for using OEM strut shaft nut on Koni shocks: Use a 9mm box wrench to hold the strut shaft from spinning while using a 17mm crows foot socket adaptor to torque the nut.

The two Front Lower Control Arm Bolts (19mm hex) and
the two sub-frame bolts (17mm hex) are torqued to 76ft-lbs. (98Nm)

These are the bolts that you remove and put back when you install the Neuspeed Front Lower X-Brace Bar.
