test tach/rpm wire on DX

Can not find this wire around in-dash fuse area. Tried to go by S-AFC DIY but still could not find the plug pictured.

DIY for tach install says near battery by which looks like a coupler, but too vague. Is there not a way to connect this wire somewhere within the dash.

Took apart whole cockpit but couldn't find anything too similar to S-AFC DIY pics for RPM wire.

Need help... did SEARCH... no use.

i had the same problem... it is a BLUE wire with a GREEN stripe i believe. Look for the wire that has a Plug on it... for diagnostic. i had to tap several wires to get the correct one.

IDQcivic should not be trusted
I don't know if its the same but on the EX the RPM test wire is to the right of the battery under the hood. its a solid dark blue wire with this black rubber boot thing on the end. I had to use that wire for my o2 simulator.

Thanks cvc2k2 & IDQcivic.... with your two hints combined... i found the BLUE wire w/ GREEN Stripe with the GREY Diagnostic Plug on the end of it LOCATED to the Left of the Battery(Given your facing the front of your car) just below some hole in the sheetmetal framework.

[Gotta be all detailed so someone else can use this if the got the same question]

One more question... Is it possible to find this BLUE w/ GREEN Strip wire around the fuse area under the steering wheel? That way i could just tap it in there? I'll try to look for it.. but if anyone of you or someone else knows... POST THAT SH*T

Correction... the wire w/ the diagnostic plug near the battery on my car is blue w/ a pink stripe. I checked the indash fuse and there's probably 6 or so blue w/ pink stripe wires down there. So since I'm running a wire from the RHeadlight fuse... I might as well tap the Diagnostic plug down there also and have them running back to the dash.

I never thought this stuff took this much planning.
