Rep Power: 0 97 EX with Horrible gas mileage
I just recently bought a 97 Civic EX. The lady I bought it from had to replace the motor back in '07. The new motor only has approx. 35,000 miles on it. I calculated 21mpg in my first 3 tanks of gas. I always use the same gas station. So far since I purchased the car I have replace the exhaust manifold with a DC Sports 4-1 Header that is heat wrapped, new spark plugs, fuel filter, pcv valve, distributor cap and rotor, installed a cold air intake, cleaned the throttle body, and changed the oil and filter with Valvoline Full Synthetic 5w30. When I replaced the valve cover gasket there was alot of sludge on the inside of the valve cover. The only other problem is it doesnt have a muffler currently. Any suggestions to increase gas mileage?

www.auto-rx.com for 5k miles in the oil, and after that www.lubecontrol.com in oil and gas as long as it takes. mileage will start going back up. i gained 4mpg from the lubecontrol products and my engine was already like new inside. put a muffler on there too.
