Pinstripe Removal

Hi everyone, i got a black 2003 honda civic EX, it came with a thin white and grey pinstripe, i don't like the way it looks on the car, its not painted on it looks kinda like a sticker, i want to pull it right off but i'm worried it might leave a mark or something, has anyone else had this on their civic/car and experimented with taking it off?

Re: Pinstripe Removal

its best to heat it up a bit with a hair dryer while pulling and go slowly, otherwise it may come off in tiny pieces. any marks can be cleaned up with detailing supplies like meguiars scratch-x and some wax after the mark is gone.

Re: Pinstripe Removal

just do not heat it too much or too close and also not if its very cold outside, paint might crack. you can get a feel for it by slowly pulling the sticker off and keep applying heat til it starts to lift up. thats why i suggested a hair dryer and not a heat gun so you prolly wont ruin the paint unless you really let the hair dryer sit in one spot for a while.
