well, im not a newbie, and i remember seeing a previous post a while back, but cannot find it anymore. well, to make this short and simple i need to know why the maintenance lite blinks for about 10 seconds when u first start your car. i have about 23,000 miles on my civic now and it just started happening a few hundred miles ago or so. i know this is prolly related to some kind of "maintenance needed" thing set up by honda to have your car serviced....but why, it aint 30,000 miles yet?! so what is this about? by the way, i know this prolly dont matter, but i have an OBX Short Ram Intake installed[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/IMG]

Turn your key to the ON position, to the point just before you start cranking it over. Then hold your odometer button in for like 8 sec (I think). While still holding it in, start your car. I think that is how it is done. Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

before turning the car to the on position hold the odometer button, then turn the car to on, hold the button until the light turns off, then turn the key off and release the button
