Rep Power: 0 03 DX Gauge cluster swap, will this fit?
Looking to swap in EX entire cluster with built in tach?
1) Will this fit?
2) Will I be able to easily hook up the tach?
3) I can only find an automatic custer, does that matter besides the unfunctional gear selector viewer?
Thanks!

Rep Power: 0 If you want to do a swap, just get a LX cluster, that just swaps in with no mods. EX is a pain. i was going to do it but decided its not worth the trouble. due to LX just swaping in .

01-02 any cluster; 03-05 dx clusters only.
basically the only ones that are different are the 03-05 lx and ex ones. those require rewiring if going into anything besides an 03-05 lx. and vice versa.

Rep Power: 787 any year dx cluster up to 2005 can swap in any 01-02 lx/ex clusters. the only thing you have to take care of is the abs light that stays on since your dx doesn't have it. thats why lx is better but you can always put tape behind the icon.
combos that won't work and require repin of the connectors is 01-05 dx and 01-02 lx/ex swapping with 03-05 lx/ex.

Rep Power: 787 the older ones are just plain lighting red or greenish with bulbs where the newer ones are leds with white numbers and red/blue rings.

Rep Power: 787 the gauges, not possible. the plastic has a slight tint after clearing them which will make white leds look muddy (i've tried). there is really no way at all to make something white without leds. bulbs emit most of their light in the warm part of the spectrum like red/yellow. only leds give true white. I recently retrofitted some white leds in the climate controls for someone and that is possible.

Rep Power: 227 so i have an 03 dx auto, ill swap it with an 01-02 dx/lx or 03-05 DX cluster correct?
EDIT* one more thing, cuz the dx doesnt have the rpm gauge so wouldnt going to an lx that does have it be a problem with the wiring or no?

Rep Power: 787 correct. you can swap an lx (01-02) straight in and the rpm should work. the wire is in your car, just not on the gauge cluster.

Rep Power: 236 Here's a link to a 2005VP with a 2001LX Cluster if your want to see what the cluster looks like. All I had to do was swap clusters.
