Rep Power: 0 water running down out the tailpipe is a very bad sign, can't remember the exact problem, but I know that loses you 10hp, need to keep your car maintained. get it looked at I suppose. later

Rep Power: 0 Actuly, water out your pipe is not bad, but it could be. W/ your car, it could be just the cat w/ some normal leakage after driving it hard.

Rep Power: 0 Yes it is just condensation. It is normal and nothing to worry about. Water will never leak out of the engine and down into the exhaust and come out the tailpipe. The engine will burn it and come out as a white cloud. Then you have a major problem.

thats what I thought he was saying, it is a major problem and draws major hp. It's just simple logic. Not to mention the tune up guys at the local import shop have told me this repeatedly emphasizing the no bolt-on can return power to a poor maintenced car.

Rep Power: 0 If its just dripping, then that is normal. If its gushing out, thats not. Most likely its condensation getting shot out. The condensation is probably towards the back of the car for obvious reasons.

ok so because water is being turned into steam looses you hp, then starting my car should hurt my fingers right? where the hell are you getting all this stuff? well as far as i am concerned, if you have a poor maintenanced car and you add on intake headers exhaust and a turbo you are saying that it is not going to do any good? thats like saying nitrous oxide doesnt make you go faster.

Rep Power: 0 Just see if I can remember my chem...
<<C8H18 (octane, something like that anyways) + O2 (combustion) -----> H20 + CO2 (not balanced of course)
>>
If that is the formula for Octane, balanced it would be C8H18 + 25/2O2 ---> 9H20 + 8CO2.... right?
Matt

Rep Power: 0 A simple problem like a spark plug wire that fell off will likely cause lots of HC to come out the tailpipe. HC is known as raw gas. Spark plug wire that falls off equals loss of performance power. Its not that fact the it's leaking that makes it lose power, it's just whats causing it to leak
