Rep Power: 0 DIY Magnaflow exhaust install
For those who did the group buy on the Magnaflow exhuast, here is the DIY I told everyone I would do.
Keep in mind, my install was on a EX coupe. If you have an LX, HX, or DX, you will not use the flange but instead, use the flanged pipe to bolt up to the catalytic converter in the front of the engine.
Remember this is a Do It Yourself and I or this website are not responsible for what you do! Please take every safety precaution when working under a car and use proper safety equipment.
The file is in MS word format.

Rep Power: 0 I like it, the piping is a little low, but I fixed that by adjusting the piping and clamps. It's not loud, it's actually quiet after 4000 rpms. The packing is loosening up a little so it's starting to get a little deeper in tone. Very good for 300 bucks.

Rep Power: 0 I rotated the pipe to the right which raised the catalytic converter. That solved that problem. I took the rubber mount off the resonator and put it through the center which raised the pipe a little closer. Because the diameter of the mount is bigger, I bought a hanger from kragen and used it hold the mount in place. I took off the heat shield from under the pipe which gave me enough room to rotate the clamp side ways. The clearance problem is with the clamps, not the pipe. I now can clear speed bumps up to 4 inches in height without angling the car side ways. Keep in mind my car is lowered 2.25 inches.
But even if you scrape, it's only the clamps. You can buy the same exact clamps at kragen or pepboys for $2.48. All my Hondas and Acuras were low to the point were scraping was a normal thing. You get use to it and then you'll learn your scrape points so you'll know how to go over speed bumps appropriatly.

Rep Power: 0 Just so you know, that is not the catalytic converter that you raised, it is the resonator. This system kicks butt!! I am glad you said yours was a little low cause I thought it was just me. Mine is a little lower but you can't see it or anything.

Rep Power: 0 No, my converter was a little low....but it was because of the piping. When I rotated the pipe a little more to the right, it raised the catalytic converter but lowered the rear section of the pipe near the resonator. I raised the resonator by raising the rubber mount and putting the hanger through the center. Since the diameter is bigger, I used a tie down to hold it in place.
I stand correct.
