Malfunction Light/ engine cutoff
Hey guys, I was driving home tonight and then all of the sudden, when I took off from a light, my engine kinda shut off at 4K rpms, so I shift to 2nd and still the same thing. It only did that for about 10 mins or so. Does anyone know what it could be. I looked at the sensor on my intake and it is kinda loose, but I don't know if that would cause the 4K rpm thing. Please help!!! I searched, but couldn't find anything on this particular problem.

well i also have that code too but taking to the dealership to fix it on 11-17-04 hopefully my warranty would cover it. I wanted to fix it myself but don't know where the problem at or start at

Rep Power: 291 I have that same code!!!! I erased it and it did not make a change, but my engine is not cutting out like that.
I can drive agressive.. It is about 7/10ths slower now in the 1/4 mile since that code has come on.

I also have the 1259 code on mine. I have to keep on resetting it by unhooking the battery to take it out of safe mode. I also had a 1298 code (Electrrical Load Detector Circuit Low Input) and a Control Fuel Ait Metering problem. I really need help if anyone knows what to do.

Rep Power: 0 So, there wasn't hardly any oil in my car. I don't know how that happened because I baby that car. Now, that it has new oil and I reset everything it is preforming alot better. The V-Tech does use oil so if it doesn't have enougth then it will go into safe mode I guess.
