Installing new seats, need help...............

I took my stock seats off today, and there is a long cylinder attached to the seat belt buckle along with wires (SRS ?)
Now for the question................my new seats wont be here til monday but, will I be able to attach this part to the racing seats so I can use my seat belt, or will I have to buy a 4point harness?

Yukonart will become famous soon enough
You will somehow have to connect the seatbelt latch to the new seat's base plate.

I don't have SRS, but my buckle has a long black rod coming off of the buckle. I was able to use my stock buckle on my aftermarket seats. But eventually i got harnesses because i wanted to.

You WILL be able to use your stock buckle.

What seats did you get?

You cant use your your seatbelts. The rod that you see on the left hand side does unscrew and does come off the seat but if you look all of the wire's that go to the seat belt they are all pulled threw a small opening. Unless you cut those wires witch I am told by Honda will cause all kind of **** to happen you cant get the seat belt piece off. Also if you use the factory seat belts the seat belt part will rubb like crazy on the fabric of your new seat causing them to tear. Do it right the first time ditch those ugly factory seatbelts and put in the harnesses like the aftermarket seat companys intended.

^^Thats not true... I have Racing seats and I use my stock seat belts. There should be a spot on your mounting bracket where you can bolt your stock seat belt onto. Its that simple... just unbolt your seat belt latch and bolt it onto the new seat bracket. Then connect the wires back...

It's true, you can use the stock seatbelts...it just looks kind of ridiculous and it will wear the fabric on your racing seats...You referred to SRS..this light will only come on if you change out your steering wheel..(I get to look at that light daily, thanks to MOMO haha)...but yeah, try to get some racing harnesses if you can..they look and feel better, and according to DOT, are safer.Good luck

bah racing harnesses make you look stupid imo.. Really stupid. I would say most racing seats do too, but those gray and black ones look clean, not obnoxious.

you can use the stock seat belts if you get the brackets designed for the 7thgen civic.

That's what I did, I ordered the brackets, and sliding brackets specifically for the 7thgen.
I'll try the best I can, if it doesn't work, I'll get the harness.

Thanks everyone for your input on this, I appreciate it!!!!
